Dangers of accepting strangers in social networks – News SIN – National Information Services

The computer security company Kaspersky has warned against accepting contacts that it was not previously known. Because there are users who are often created fake profiles, combining open (or closed) random groups to share links to sites of dubious or fraudulent polls virtual sales using flashy messages to entice users share pictures as well as a completely pornographic content.

The company recommends that to prevent others from accessing your profile and impair your friends by sending ‘spam’, it is advisable to adjust your Facebook settings in “Biography and labeling”, but warns that Users should be aware that not necessarily has to have fallen into the trap of these “friends” to be victim of ‘spam’, as ‘spammers’ also can achieve stealing account information from any of your friends real.
