Twitter, listen: we want to edit tweets and do better reporting of threats – CNET in Spanish

Twitter has growth problems, and then not to find the solution among their ranks, the company turned to the users to listen to their suggestions.

on The afternoon of Thursday, the executive chairman of the company, Jack Dorsey, and he asked his nearly 4 million followers how to improve Twitter in 2017. The tweet got all the attention possible: nearly 6,000 responses and 1,300 retweets, this at the closing time of drafting.

users of the social network of microblogging, just like when a mom asks her son what he wants for Christmas, did not take long to answer. The suggestions for improvement, almost in their majority, were related to the ability to edit tweets after they have been published, and new and better tools to combat bullying, the tweets of racism, threats and bullying.

“Ability to edit tweets and organize the lists in Twitter”, asked Anthony Quintana and dozens of other users.

When Dorsey replied to the suggestions (because it did), wondering if the edition that you want to see the users is the option to edit a tweet seconds after it was published, or the possibility to edit at any time. Both represent technical difficulties, but the first is more viable.

Facebook already has a button that allows you to edit a post or comment even after it was published. Although the service is different, Gmail also allows you to “undo” sending an e-mail seconds after being sent.
