GPS smart jacket created by Levi’s and Google – Terra Peru

There seems to be an uncontrollable fashion, which seeks to turn smart everything that appears in its path. This time is a garment, and the brains behind the project are Levi’s and Google.

The well-known clothing brand and its business partner have created a smart jacket , which can control functions of the smartphone through one of his sleeves.

How it works

A patch called Jacquard Tag , embedded in the sleeve , it is connected with sensors. The user can increase the volume of music, turn on the GPS, ask for directions to Google Maps or answer a call with just one finger movement. You can also control Spotify and some ‘apps’ fitness , among other functions.

The patch can be removed for recharging the battery through a USB. The jacket will be available in spring of 2017.

Google showed during your event technology I / O this year and, according to Portaltic , your idea is to use fashion to represent a practical application of technology.
