Kepler-62f: planet 1200 light years from Earth is habitable? | NASA | VIDEO | YouTube – The Press

The search for signs of life in other worlds. This time a group of researchers from the University of California of the United States ( USA USA ) it has been discovered that a distant planet discovered by the NASA may contain oceans and life.

By 2013, the mission Kepler NASA found a planetary system that includes Kepler-62f . This is the outermost of the five planets orbiting a star smaller and cooler than our Sun . It is located about 1,200 light years from Earth.

Scientists at the University of California have determined that Kepler-62f might have atmospheric conditions that allow accommodate water, according to the study published in the journal Astrobiology.

“we found that there are multiple atmospheric compositions that allow it to be warm enough for liquid water,” he said the study’s lead author, said Aomawa Shields, making a Kepler -62f in strong candidate to be a habitable planet.
