A Spanish developer has discovered that the beta version of WhatsApp send private information to Facebook.
The next update is scheduled WhatsApp to send information to Facebook without knowledge by the user. This was said Javier Santos, a student of computer engineering and developer of applications for Android. As stated Santos, to conduct a thorough exploration of the beta version of WhatsApp a command that until now had not been included in previous versions it appears. This command was linked by linking the application with Facebook. Thus, the network have access to talks WhatsApp users.
The exclusive uncovered by Santos contradicts the promises made by the directors of the application. Since Facebook acquired WhatsApp, both companies have repeatedly insisted they would not cross data about users. Some media have related this finding to WhatsApp’s recent decision to offer free service for life.
Last week, Santos said at first that it implements preliminary version of WhatsApp messaging encryption to protect the privacy of customers. At first, there was speculation the idea that even Facebook would be able to decode the conversations encrypted. However, this new information calls into question the commitment of Facebook and WhastApp with customer privacy.
