Some emotions are so strong, so powerful that the only way for us to express them is with a ‘emoji’ unicorn.
Coming soon Apple will add new ‘emoji’ with the operating system upgrade to iOS 9.1. These images are used to when expressing ideas as “picking apples and dogs on the way home” is too laborious, or when not yet say I love you but you love them.
The new emoticons include a burrito, a taco, head of unicorn and a detective. The most outrageous is a hand with the middle finger extended, the international symbol of … you know.
There is a face nerd is a smiley with goggle lenses and teeth (at least Apple did not use the full stereotype and put tape to attach the lens). Most of these drawings are self-explanatory: A robot, a bandage wrapped face, a face with a zipper in the mouth.
There are new religious sites, new landscapes and a satellite. The animal lovers now have a larger repertoire with crabs, turkeys, squirrels and an adorable but perhaps sad lion.
The company will launch its latest mobile operating system next September 16. The version with these new emojis will later this year. These emoticons are based on standards set by the Unicode Consortium.
