LAS VEGAS – CES veterans already know that the busiest of consumer electronics fair day is actually prior the show actually opens. The press day, as it is called to this event, is packed with press conferences taking place not in the Las Vegas Convention Center, but the other side of town, in the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

It is a long day with lots to see, so we have broken it down into parts. Here is a list of the most outstanding commercials during the press day of CES. Oh, and do not forget to follow our continuous coverage.

LG

The company, which always starts the day early release, showed a wide range of its Signature series high-end to almost every corner of the house. Starting with television, which is already a tradition at CES showed the G6 series and the simplest E6, which have compatibility with Dolby Vision HDR system and which have the thinnest design of LG so far, with a thickness of only 2.57 mm. (That’s a tenth of an inch).

On the side of the kitchen, LG has a new refrigerator with a single door Signature: Tap on it and becomes transparent, allowing you to see what inside. And for those hated day washout, the new washing machine Twin Wash washed two loads of laundry at the same time (in separate compartments), while the main chamber also functions as a dryer. LG even has a vacuum that will follow you everywhere in your house. Oh, nanita!

Samsung

The rival LG gave much to talk about, starting with the Family Hub Samsung refrigerator. This is a refrigerator of US $ 5,000 (you read correctly, that nothing over us zero) with a giant touch screen (21.5 inches!) on the door. It has a lot of functions, so you better read our analysis to know them all, but the most important is its touch screen (like a smartphone Giant), its connectivity to other Samsung smart appliances, and a set of indoor cameras that take pictures of your food and you send them from your smart phone. Does it seem absurd? Well, just think about that next time you’re in the supermarket and not you manage to remember if you had to buy butter or not.

Other postings from the company include a vacuum robot that you control with your smartphone , a furnace with Wi-Fi, laptops they are so light that you can charge two with one hand, and a tablet the size of an iPad Pro running Windows 10. Oh, and finally one day, the smart watch Gear S2 will be compatible with your iPhone.

Sony

During his press conference Sony focused on audio, televisions and video recorders. For example, if you think that turntables are a thing of the past, think again. See, the PSH-X500 is a turntable USB , but Sony promises that this is better (after all, has a caption that says “High Resolution”), and it is indeed attractive.

The videographers will receive the first Sony camera action in a long time, with the HDR-AS50. It has a standard tripod mount 1 / 4-20, a feature to put labels which can automatically detect faces and a new cover for recording underwater at depths up to 60 meters (196 feet). 4K FDR-AX53 is a significant improvement over the AX33. Has a new lens, new sensor and new microphone.

Smartphones

Jessica Dolcourt threw an eye on the golden version of the new Google Nexus 6P and not He had no qualms about checking compliments. Of course, the interior is not much different from the regular model, but that bright and golden envelope will not cost more ($ 400 for the 32GB model). An extra touch that is not bad.

ZTE announced two low-end phones to be sold in the United States, the Avid Plus and Grand X 3. The first is armed to operate and comes with MetroPCS Wi-Fi calls, while the latter has a USB type C and work with Cricket Wireless. If you need something more durable, try the Kyocera Hydro View. You can get into the water and rubber gaskets protect it from dust. If you want something more elegant, Huawei Mate 8 has a battery that lasts an eternity, all-metal body and fingerprint reader.

‘Smartwatches’

The Smart Outdoor Watch Casio , which runs on Android Wear, it has built-in microphone, compass and barometer. It is also water resistant to 50 meters and meets the standards of the US military Although Fitbit is best known for its displays of physical activity, the new Fitbit Blaze is rather a smart watch with built-in monitors exercise. And if you like the striking, the Huawei Watch now comes embedded with Swarovski crystals.
