The complicated weather conditions and terrain make the appearance of the Faroese one inexplorable place, at least for Google to include them in its mapping service Street View. Therefore, a team of islanders launched its own project, Sheep View 360, to create through a group of sheep a map of the routes, streets and bridges of the archipelago.
So Faroese looks from the perspective of a sheep.
With the help of a local pastor and a harness specially built by the island Dahl Andreassen, five sheep that are part of the initiative carried on his back a camera 360 degrees with which mapped this small archipelago consisting of 18 islands in the North Atlantic between Scotland, Norway and Iceland

as the animals roam the land or grazing, the pictures taken are sent back to Andreassen with GPS coordinates, which are then uploaded to Google Street View .
While the main idea is to promote tourism in Faroe islands, the project is also part of a campaign to convince Google to complete the mapping project. Even the 50,000 islanders gave more impetus to the case through the social network Twitter with the hashtag #wewantgooglestreetview.

“Knowing that we are so small and Google is so great, we felt it was right thing to do,” said Andreassen told The Guardian.
Faroe Islands has a population much greater than people sheep. In the area there are currently around 80,000 compared to almost 50,000 human beings who inhabit the territory
