The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) European airlines authorized to permit, once adapted aircraft fleet, the use of mobile phones and electronic devices during the flight .

This is: smartphones, tablets, laptops, e-books and MP3 players, among others. The Agency explained that each company will make its decision and hopes that some companies can offer this service in the next eight months.

This is the regulatory step prior to the possibility to offer passengers the use of telecommunications and wireless “door to door”.

Companies should first go through an evaluation process to ensure that aircraft systems are not affected in any way for signal transmission devices.
