ATM created with facial recognition technology – Trade

Chinese engineers have developed the first national ATM with technology facial recognition to identify users of bank cards, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The prototype has been developed by Tsinghua University in Beijing, and the security firm for financial transactions Tzekwan Technology, based in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, highlights information.

According to the president of the security company, Gu Zikun, this advance will reduce crimes committed through ATMs.

He stressed also that the Chinese have relied excessively ATMs technology alien and who can now have a purely national system, an idea that is presented in the same month that the government has initiated the “Made in China” campaign to encourage local innovation.

Businesses in some countries, including the US, have tested machines that use technology of fingerprint and facial recognition fingerprints to identify users, although there are still doubts about its viability.
