The Galaxy S8 Samsung will use batteries manufactured by its division, Samsung SDI, and by a new provider in order to avoid the problems that ended up with the Galaxy Note 7.

According to the site, Korean news Have Kyung, the new manufacturer will be Murata Manufacturing Company, the company, with headquarters in Japan that bought the division batteries of Sony in June last year, according to the same report. Samsung would use a manufacturer china (ATL) to a manufacturer in japan.

In the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung used batteries manufactured by SDI and also for ATL. The first units of the tabléfono used batteries from the south Korean with problems in its design; when you press ATL battery and launch units replacement of the Note 7, the batteries were distributed with issues in your manufacturing.

Han Kyung says that LG will not be a provider of batteries, the S8, despite the fact that some reports as suggested as well. The report quotes a Samsung representative, who would have confirmed the lack of involvement of LG.

Samsung did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CNET.

Samsung wants at all costs to avoid another problem like the one that lived with the Galaxy Note 7, which ended in a catastrophe for the brand, the collection of several million units throughout the world and an expenditure of about US$ 5,000 million, according to analysts.

in Addition to change supplier, Samsung would have changed the date for the launch of the Galaxy S8. Usually, the company gives appointment in the MWC — which is held at the end of February — to announce their new member of the Galaxy S family, but not this year.

According to reports, the brand new (but not flammable) cell will be presented at an event on march 29.
