The Nintendo Switch will not have Internet browser, but, does that matter? – CNET in Spanish

The console of video games Nintendo Switch will not have Web browser, at least not by the time it reaches the market in march.

Tatsumi Kimishima, president of Nintendo, said this week in an interview with the magazine Time, which was so much the focus of Nintendo to make a console game in every sense of the word, that by now the console will not have backward compatibility with browsers to access the Internet.

it is Not a surprise that the console does not have a browser, because it is an electronic device for playing video games — not to surf the Web.

Other consoles current do have a browser; for example, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PS4 from Sony. However, its use could be limited by the lack of execution of plug-ins and software that need requirements such as Flash (Java).

however, it has not much sense that Nintendo has decided to dispense with the browser in the Switch, taking into account that the Wii U and the 3DS have a built-in browser.

the only problem with the Switch is that it will not be applications for platforms such as Netflix or Twitch, at least not in the launch and near dates. The browser could be of help to users who want to use the Switch to watching series, movies or to follow a session of the game live.

The Nintendo Switch will hit the stores march 3, and with or without browser, the pre-sales in some channels of distribution, and in some countries, is already sold out. Our Caesar Salza had access to the console and here you can see their first impressions on video:
