Samsung announced a partnership with content producers, among which are Netflix and Amazon, in order to encourage the creation of more 4K content and users to leverage the televisions and the South Korean players.
During the pre-IFA technology fair in Berlin, Germany, Samsung also introduced a blu-ray player for users to consume content in Ultra High Definition or 4K, with the possibility of scaling Full HD content.
José Luis de la Vega, executive director of marketing at Samsung Mexico, explained that the player also connects to the Internet so users are also contained in various online platforms.
also presented 28 different models of curved 4K TVs ranging from 32 to 105 inches.
De la Vega explained that among the companies included in the alliance are also WHuaki, Chili, Strefa VOD, Videoland and Videoload.
In terms of availability in the country, the player and part of the curved line 4K TVs come to Mexico in the first half of 2016.
