Samsung renews its SmartWatch; commitment to classical touch – El Financiero

Samsung presented the Gear 2, the second version of its smart watch, which adopts the classic circular shape of the watches with the aim of attracting new customers.

This model has a 1.2-inch circular, plus it provides the possibility of exchanging belts steel body and screen.

The South Korean company said that the model is thin and light, besides “which fits well to the wrist.”

Unlike the first edition of the Gear, the new model will run with Tizen operating system.

It has a memory of 512 MB plus a 4GB

The Gear 2 will come in two versions: a Bluetooth and a 3G; the first has a battery of 250 mAh and the other a 300 mAh.

It is expected that the company launched this product during its presentation at the IFA 2015, held this week in Berlin.

According to IDC figures revealed last week, Apple sold 3.6 million of Apple Watches in the second quarter, putting the firm of Cupetino as the leading provider of wearables .

Bearing in mind the figures, perhaps Samsung choose to launch the smart watch for the Christmas period, one of the highest seasons in the purchase of technological devices.
