Nuclear fusion will solve the greenhouse effect, says Hawking – Pulso de San Luis

Hawking S Santa Cruz de Tenerife.- Physicist Stephen Hawking said today that the technological breakthrough that would like to see in the next hundred years is nuclear fusion because it the planet’s energy problem would be solved and we would save the greenhouse gases. /> Hawking was responding one of the questions chosen by Starmus Festival, which since Monday has joined the Atlantic island of Tenerife science , music and art and was closed today with a lecture by British physicist. /> Hawking, that when you got to choose between traveling to the Big Bang or the future chose the second choice because, he said, you know what happened in the past, said that may have Earth-like planets but does not believe in the existence of UFOs. /> The physicist said that the more you discover, the more mysteries there, so do not think that once the investigations are finished and explained that in his field, the physical fundamental and cosmology, not the implications of string theory are understood, and did not even know if it is correct. /> added that no one has thought of the nature of matter and dark energy, if particles, fields, or modifications of the theory. /> Hawking also joked about black holes, of which he said are not as black as the paint and can leave of them, both outwardly as possibly in another universe, so if someone feels that it is in a black hole should not give up because no output. /> During his talk on black holes Stephen Hawking said that they have an edge, called the event horizon, beyond which no return and falls for him. /> explained that in application of quantum mechanics, if a particle falls into a black hole or your partner may not fall, and in the second case is what gives rise to the radiation emitted by black holes. /> The antiparticle falling to black hole can be considered as a particle that is traveling to the past, Hawking said. /> He added that when a particle falls into a black hole information could be lost, which would be bad because during the last two hundred years we have believed in scientific determinism. /> For Stephen Hawking, if determinism fails with black holes may fail on other issues. /> indicated that from the outside of a black hole can not be sure whether or not there, which is always the possibility that does not exist. /> But asked if possible falling into a black hole and exit at another universe, and replied that in that case should have a hall to the other universe, but could not return.
