Google celebrates the winter solstice – The Universal


  Google marks the longest night in the northern hemisphere with interactive doodle , where you can see a woman with a great coat, carrying a bag with vegetables and three children and a snowman.
 


 


 Thus, the company Mountain View receives the winter season through this doodle, where you can see a lady who brings out of his bag a carrot to make her happy small to make a snowman and can donning on the nose.
 


 


 According to the Institute of Astronomy of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the word solstice comes from Latin “solstitium” meaning quiet sun.
 


 


 Th is, as it is one of the two points of the year in which the Sun appears to be at its most extreme points north and south, ie that its trajectory is the maximum distance from the celestial Ecuador.
 


 


 In this sense, refers to the northern hemisphere winter solstice occurs around December 21 and the summer solstice on June 21; while in the southern hemisphere dates are reversed.
