Facebook working on the expected button “do not like” – La Prensa de Honduras

California, United States

After receiving pressure from users for years to add the button “I do not like,” Facebook said Tuesday it was working on this application and the test soon.

“Finally, we heard,” said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and chairman at a meeting in Menlo Park in Silicon Valley (California).

This answers a question that a user published online on why no buttons like “forgiveness”, “interesting” or “I do not like” in addition to the classic hand with thumb up “Like”. One issue that received great support from users.

“Probably hundreds of people have wondered this and today is a special day, because today is the day we can say we are working on it and we are very close to try, “said Zuckerberg.

” It has taken time to get here, because we do not turn Facebook into a forum where people vote for or against others publications . That is not the kind of community we want to create. ” he said

But. also said he understood that it was rare to push the button of “like” in a publication on certain events such as a death in the family or the current refugee crisis, and that this should will serve to enable users to express better than “I understand and relate to you.”

“We’ve been working on this for a long time. In fact, it is surprisingly difficult to do,” he said.

“But we have an idea that we think will be ready for testing soon and, depending on how you, will extend more broadly,” he said.
