The problems of Yahoo are on the rise.

The defeated Internet giant is facing a couple of lawsuits, a day after it revealed that a cyber-attack massive jeopardized the accounts of about 500 million users. The attack exposed the usernames, dates of birth, encrypted passwords and, in some cases, the security questions and answers, according to the company. The hack, which took place in 2014, is considered the cyber attack, largest in history.

on Friday, the law firms Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd and Labaton Sucharow filed a complaint with the Federal Court of the Northern District of California. The lawsuit accuses Yahoo for its “failure to establish and implement security basic data” and “gross negligence” in the management of the data of the users.

“The inability of Yahoo to protect personal information and sensitive users, that infringes directly on their promises, it is something completely unacceptable today,” said the lawyers in a statement. “The fact that an attack of this magnitude go unnoticed on a giant of technology as Yahoo for two years is amazing”.

Another class-action lawsuit against the company was filed Thursday in Federal Court in San Diego, according to the newspaper San Jose Mercury News. In this case, the plaintiffs approached the lawyers before it was announced the hack, in an attempt to know how people were accessing their information.

the lawyer in The case of San Diego, David Casey, told the Mercury News that he expected them to submit to many more lawsuits against Yahoo because of the hack. He also said that he hoped that all these demands are met in a single class action lawsuit.

Yahoo refused to give comments on the topic.
