Christmas lights could slow wifi – Panama America

The Christmas lights can slow the wireless connection. So says studio Ofcom, the UK regulator , which has ensured that the Christmas lights could slow wifi.

However, there would be the only ones. The connection can also be slow because of the interference caused by other devices, such as microwave or lamp. So concludes that there is still much work to be done to improve communication services, especially in improving mobile broadband and the availability and quality of service.

Although “coverage and the quality of fixed broadband services in the UK has increased markedly in recent years, “ the entity has launched” Wi-Fi Checker “, an application for the citizens to check their connection.

The reality is that interference in the connection are common because the electronics we usually have at home generate electromagnetic fields that can interfere with the quality of transmissions over wifi.

These devices include appliances like microwaves that are the worst enemy because they use power around 2.4 GHz, the same frequency as the wifi, so it creates a black hole around. Ovens, freezers, refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, also slow the connection.

Also include cordless phones, televisions, speakers, among others.
