(CNN) – The good boys and girls-and their children watched Santa’s sleigh (better known by adults as the International Space Station) flying over the UK on Christmas Eve Thanks in part to timely advice of the meteorological service of the nation.
The weather service said this week that the children to look skyward would be delighted to see the bright light of the space station while St. Nicholas himself sped on their journey around the world.
“While all excited children waiting expectantly to Santa Claus parties, why not take a look at the evening sky on Christmas Eve and see if you can detect it, (or rather, the ISS), “wrote the Met Office.
Parents anxious in social networks shared the joy of this Christmas miracle (or preset orbit, for grinch ) around 17:30 on Thursday).
A father tweeted a small problem astronaut Tim Peake, one of the six members of the crew currently aboard the station:
The International Space Station circles the Earth every 90 minutes, giving the crew a spectacular sunrise or sunset every 45 minutes
