Study indicates no male or female brains – Trade

brain human presents differences according to sex, but can not be said that there is a “male” brain and other “feminine”, according to a study published in the journal PNAS.

The brain differences by gender have a high social interest because it is assumed that their presence proves that humans belong to two different categories, not only in terms of their genitals, as it is considered that attitudes differ men and women would be defined by brain structure.

The research, led by scientists at the University of Tel Aviv (Israel) said that the brains humans are composed of “tiles” unique characteristics, some more common to women and other men nearby, and some common to both.

The analysis reveals that the brains with predominantly features only women or only men are scarce.

In reaching this conclusion, the lead researcher Daphna Joel and his team analyzed more than 1,400 human brains of four data sets.

For each analysis identified a subset of brain regions were those that differed most between the sexes.

The results suggest that most of the brains are heterogeneous “mosaic” features more characteristic of the man more specific to women or intermediate.

This heterogeneity conclude that the brain Humans do not belong to one of two distinct structural characteristics, ie, that there is no brain male and one female.

The result is consistent with studies in which the differences in behavior or personality of women and men are analyzed. In these works, the majority of people can not be classified unequivocally in his nature or his taste in one category or another.

The result contrasts with a study of change 2013 conducted by American researchers from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

In this work concluded that there are differences between the sexes. Women have a lot of connectivity in different parts of the brain between the two hemispheres, while men have more connections within each hemisphere
