Facebook is integrating the many companies that offer paid content within its platform. Mark Zuckerberg and his team have initiated a pilot program to integrate paid ads within the platform of Facebook Messenger. This is something that was coming since some months ago, even the company had announced at the end of 2016 his intention to make this project a reality.
although Facebook already has a great list of advertisers on their platform, I had never tried to integrate them into your messaging app. The social network has seen a good space to be able to put ads targeted specifically to each user.
According to the company, the messages will not appear in the conversations at any time, rather to be displayed in the list of chats that are open and will be located below your selection of favorite contacts.
When clicking on the ad, the link will take you to the action that the advertiser has chosen, the style of the buttons call-to-action that are placed on the top of the pages of the undertakings of each profile. It may be that when you click you will redirect to the advertiser’s website or perhaps a store of Facebook located direct in the page’s business.
This type of programs create a greater interaction between advertisers and users looking for your products. As we know one of the most simple ways to communicate with the company or vice versa is the possibility of opening a chat from your page to business Facebook. With this new monetization users will be able to be closer to their favorite brands.
The program starts with a group of people in Australia and Thailand, and it is hoped that this new project will commence in the coming weeks to later expand to the rest of the countries where it has presence Facebook Messenger.
