Ultrathin, powerful and redesigned: so are laptops and tablets of IFA 2016 fair – La Nacion (Argentina)

Asus, Acer and Lenovo introduced ultra-thin models for gamer segment and with renewed proposals, such as Yoga Book, which has a second touch panel with virtual keyboard and stylus

the IFA fair in Berlin was the ideal opportunity for technology companies present their new generation of smart watches, and also to demonstrate scenario that their proposals in the segment of personal computers and tablets keep alive the flame of innovation, ultra-thin, powerful models and new designs.

Asus introduced the ZenBook 3, a computer model portable with a stylized metal design, with a thickness of 11.9 mm and only 910 grams of weight, which puts it in direct competition with the Apple MacBook. They even have a similar configuration, as both have a USB Type C port and an audio jack.

Inside have the latest model of microprocessor from Intel, the Core i7 seventh generation, known under the codename Kaby Lake, to 3.1 GHz. It has a 12.5 inch screen, a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and supports up to 1TB of SSD storage and up to 16GB of RAM.

Another outstanding details it is that has a fingerprint sensor on the touchpad, and is compatible with the authentication system Windows Hello.

Acer also lost the opportunity to show the extremes that has its proposal laptops. One with the Swift 7, the market’s thinnest model, while the Predator 21 X does not save space after offer maximum computing and graphics performance.

The Acer Swift 7 has 9.98 mm thick, thinner than the 10.4 mm HP Spectre, and supports a configuration Core i5 processor seventh generation, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. It has two USB Type C ports and an audio jack along with a 13.3 inches and about 1.1 kilos of weight.

on the side of the tablets which took all eyes was Lenovo, which introduced the tablet Yoga Book , a format 2 in 1 incorporating a new child panel that serves as a virtual touch keyboard Halo, which also functions as a surface to interact with a stylus, ideal for taking notes and make drawings and illustrations.

The new design brings to mind Courier, a prototype Microsoft six years ago that was never produced. By then, Apple launched the iPad and imposed the format of the tablet in the technology industry.

The Book Yoga Lenovo has a range of 15 hours, can be folded to 360 degrees and is available with Android or Windows operating system. X5 has an Intel Atom processor, 4GB of RAM, a weight of 690 grams and a thickness of 9.6 mm.

Lenovo also announced the Yoga laptop 910, a slim 14.3 mm model which they can be equipped with Core i7 processors seventh generation and a screen of 13.9 inches. In turn, the Chinese company announced its Tab 3 Plus Yoga tablet with 10.1 inch screen and a battery of 9300 mAh.

In the segment of equipment 2 in 1 Lenovo introduced the MIix 510 , a team with physical keyboard, a detachable 12.2-inch touch screen and a configuration that supports a solid state disk up to 1 TB of capacity.
