From the Pokémon Go made its debut in early July, I started to become an expert in the game and studied every aspect and technique, captured pokémons and for a few weeks immersed myself in the world magic Pikachu.
When it announced its availability in the US, I decided to download the game to enjoy the augmented reality of the much-talked and longed to see the creatures that were so familiar to me. I downloaded it to see Pikachu, Bulbasaur and Charmander stand on my desk and show up while buying food.
I must confess that while playing I won a few enemies, I received looks that kill, I crashed against trees and even argued with my friends. However, this never stopped me.
The charm of the game came to an end when he left the long-awaited update, which many expected forward because it would give more features and enhancements making it even more addictive. All this was a fantasy that ultimately never came true.
When the game was updated, I played only once and it was only to realize that the rumors were true: the game update was terrible.
That’s how my adventure ended pokémon.
With the version that was released on July 30, catch a pokémon was too frustrating. So Pidgey or insignificant Zubat got out of the Pokeball, which for a level 18 trainer was difficult to understand. After playing for over a month, I knew how to catch the helpless pokémons that are on every corner. However, the update made all the practice I acquired in recent weeks were useless. I’m not the only one who noticed this. Niantic admitted in a tweet that was a problem and solve it. That’s how came the latest update that promises to solve the most critical evils that take away peace to the players. For me it’s too late.
The tracking system was almost useless before the update July 30. In that version it was only possible to see three tracks even though the pokémon was really a mark. What Niantic did? He did not managed but took the fast track and simply eliminated. The new version of August 8 seems to improve this aspect, but I still dazzles enough to return to resume my gambling habits.
The lack of a new update that really did Pokémon Go a game with pokémon spirit led me to leave the game without remorse. The battles nonsense, lack of structure and meaning, the absence of a relationship between the coach and the pokémon, and simply lack of motivation to continue playing beyond to catch all the pokémons, have led me to retire from be trainer pokémon.
I recognize that the game has achieved great things, like forcing youngsters to take to the streets, generate more business clientele and attract more visitors to museums. By this I do not take the credit and hope for those who still enjoy the game, get a forthcoming update to return to revolutionize the world and perhaps attract new players like me.
For now, I say goodbye to Pokémon Go and frustrations and joys that caused me.
