Capcom has released the first trailer dedicated to the gameplay of the recently announced Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. In him we see Ryu and Mega Man X to fight against Iron Man and Captain Marvel, in what appears to be a field of battle set in Asgard, home of Thor.
As previously announced, Infinite is a fighting game 2 against 2 characters, instead of mode 3 against 3 by which the series is known for. Which has led some to remember a style of play more akin to Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, title fights, which the company released on the Wii.
Another detail that was revealed with this video is that the characters will be able to perform combos by calling to team-mates, in a way somewhat different to the previous games. Some mentioned that the system is closest to Street Fighter X Tekken, in which the second character appears, and the player must attack at the right moment to link 2 chains together.
Another interesting element was the emergence of the Gems of the Infinite, which were used by Ryu and Captain Marvel to get different powers associated with these stones.
Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite was officially announced during the event PlayStation Experience, Sony. Will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2017. It was also confirmed that Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is now available for download on PlayStation 4, while also coming to Xbox One and PC in march of 2017.
