The patent application was filed two years ago, but was not detected until Wednesday by Zoe Leavitt, an analyst in the firm analysis and technological data CB Insights.
according To the patent application, the drones launched from the so-called “fulfillment centers airborne” (AFC), for its acronym in English) would use much less energy than released from the ground.
The AFC is shaking at about 13,700 metres in height and would be refueled products and fuel with “shuttles or smaller aircraft”.
Amazon, which was not immediately available for comment on the news, has established plans to begin using drones for deliveries next year.
