Oviedo, 01/04/2015 (The People’s Daily Online) – Scientists Plank Collaboration, which is part a group of researchers from the University of Oviedo, have located clusters oldest known galaxies in the universe, dated immediately after the Big Bang by researchers.
The images taken by the Planck and Herschel satellite, the European Space Agency (ESA) have allowed to observe these groups, considered by physicists as the “precursor” of galaxy clusters that exist today.
This is the main conclusion of the paper “Planck intermediate results. XXVII. High-redshift galaxy overdensity infrared candidates and lensed sources discovered by Planck and Herschel confirmed by -SPIRE “published Tuesday in the journal Astronomy & amp; Astrophysics, and presented in a simultaneous press conference at the Institute of Space Astrophysics in Paris, the headquarters of the European Space Agency in the Netherlands and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena (California).
