This follows the latest barometer of March prepared by the Centre for Sociological Research (CIS), which is also apparent that 93.7% of Spaniards believe that new technologies have changed the daily lives of families, although only 50.7% see this effect in their own homes. 61.9% said that with new technologies has decreased the time spent reading books, newspapers or magazines on paper, and 47.8% finding information in libraries, plus 43.3% say thanks to them is less time doing nothing.
Of those who used new technologies in the last six months, 62.4% believe have helped him to be closer to family members that do not live, 39.6% have greater geographical mobility. On the other hand, 65.5% do not consider that contributed to telework and 61.2% believe have helped little or nothing to fill leisure time with family.
In this context, mobile phone is still more necessary apparatus for 80.1% of respondents, followed by the Internet (68.4%) and email (64.8%). Meanwhile, the personal computer is also very necessary for 61.9% of respondents. However, the Spanish can more easily dispense social networks (68.5%) and the tablets or eBooks (67%).
On the use that Spaniards make new technologies in the last six months 92.9% admitted having used mobile, and 69.6% on WhatsApp or similar applications. By contrast, 62.8% say they have used the tablets or eBooks and only 7% denied having used the phone.
On the frequency among those who use ICT in their everyday lives , 94.4% stands daily use WhatsApp, and 88.1% of mobile phone and 79.4% of the laptop. Instead, use these technologies every few weeks or almost never 11.7% for tablets, 7.8% for social networks and 4.8% email.
Also, 15% of not having sent any message on mobile phone in the last six months. In addition, 9.8% have repented of any message, video or photo you have ever sent through new technologies and 5.4% had ever issue content that others have sent to them through ICT.
Similarly, eight out of ten parents (80.4%) have talked to their children about the uses and risks of new technologies, compared to 18.3% who never has . In addition, 70.5% of Spaniards ever asked helps your child about problems with mobile phone and 43.6% on the computer or Internet.
As for negotiating with children about their use of ICT, 30.3% make their opinion prevail against minors, while 19.7% of cases does what you want the child. 12.4% do not speak on the issue. When to start use ICT?

In turn, 40.4% believe that social media should be used after 16 years.
As for the influence of ICT in the education of children, 85.9% believes that young people rely on new technologies and that’s a problem for family education, while 83.2% believe that parents should know good use new technologies to educate their children with them, and the same looks inevitable influence of ICT in education of children. 70.4% for the information young people receive for these new technologies has more influence than what they may say their parents.
In this barometer of March, the CIS dedicates some questions about things important for the life of the Spaniards. Thus, 98.3% said that emotionally support the family is most important, followed by maintaining cordial relations with family members, and 97.2% care for parents when they are older.
