The gurus of the game, all in Gamelab 2015 – The Intransigente

SPAIN.- The Gamelab are the guest stars. Each new edition of this congress games stands, above all, to gather under one roof some of the most influential personalities in the industry.

In its eleventh edition, held from 24 to 26 June at the Hotel Barceló Sants, the roster of speakers includes figures such outstanding as of Toru Iwatani, the father of Pac-Man , Shinji Mikami, creator of Resident Evil , Jordan Mechner, the mind behind the legendary Prince of Persia, or Tomaszkiewicz Konrad, director of the recent The Witcher 3.

During the three days the event will last about 25 guests offer their views on the past, present and future of a sector that, according to consultancy Newzoo, 2015 is expected to generate revenue of more than 80,000 million euros worldwide.

The training games, capturing titles mobile users, emerging technologies such as virtual reality, interactive narratives and other theories of game design, or the noble art of surviving having an independent development studio are some of the issues that focus the presentations at this year’s congress, the fifth to be held in the city.

Far from being a thought for the public event, the Gamelab is a meeting to professionals in the game industry that, over the years, has become an excuse for the members of this might be the faces and share experiences. Around thousand people participated in the event last year and a similar figure for which is expected to begin Wednesday. In addition to the presentations, another attraction of the conference this year are about 70 separate projects to be exhibited at the same hotel in Barcelona Sants station.
