WASHINGTON Cyber attacks are making this Christmas after suffered by Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), due to the film “The Interview”, and the websites of the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, yesterday still experiencing problems and outages.
PlayStation (Sony) and its competitor Xbox (Microsoft) had difficulty connecting to the servers of the two consoles for Christmas Day, one of the busiest of the year.
Yesterday, an Xbox worked but in a “limited” according to its web support, while the PlayStation still locked.
Both Sony and Microsoft were informed of the denial of service problems “DDoS” (short for Distributed Denial of Service) through Twitter, but none of the two companies has been attributed, so far, what happened to a cyberattack.
