They illuminate particle accelerator after two years – The Universal

The accelerator in the world’s largest particle is about to be activated again after inactivity of two years to do make improvements.

Scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) preparing to fire on Sunday the first beams of particles through the tunnel 27 kilometers (16.8 miles) from the Large Hadron Collider, below the border between Switzerland and France near Geneva.

The accelerator was instrumental in the discovery of the Higgs boson, a subatomic particle on whose existence had several theories in a while, but that was confirmed in 2013.

Scientists promise almost twice as much energy and violent clashes this time particles. They expect the most violent lightning shocks which could be launched in early June – permit observe the dark universe never seen before.
