Researchers at Azabu University (Japan), headed by the veterinarian Takefumi Kikusui , decided to find out why most humans have so much affection for dogs.
Specialists got 30 dogs with their owners in the same room, for 30 minutes and saw that in that period occurred seeing, touching and mimosas voices.
Before and after the experience, they measured the amount of so-called ‘love hormone’ oxytocin, in the urine of both human and masters. The result gave the more eyes, dogs and their owners looked more oxytocin produced.
Subsequently, the experiment was repeated with wolves bred to bottle and did not increase their level of oxytocin. In a third experiment, sprayed oxytocin in the snout of some dogs and again put in a room with his owner and two strangers.
In the videos, you can see how some pets were frozen staring into the eyes of their owners, which in turn produce more oxytocin, in an amount correlated with their animals.
