The autopilot of a car saved the life of a man – La Voz del Interior

The autopilot of a car Tesla Model X saved the life of a man to take him to the hospital at a time when he suffered a pulmonary embolism.

Joshua Neally told the newspaper Springfield News-Leader he felt sharp pains in the chest and abdomen for a few days until the July 26 climbed into his car in Springfield, Missouri, to go to the hospital.

“it was unbearable, I have never felt so much pain in my life, “said Neally.

at first, Neally thought he had just pulled a muscle and the pain was temporary. But then he realized he also had difficulty breathing and even to see, so he turned on the autopilot, drove onto the road and headed for the emergency room.

He said the pain was attenuated a bit and finally was able to guide the vehicle manually to reach the hospital in Branson, Missouri, where doctors diagnosed a blood vessel blocked in the lung.

According Neally, the autopilot function is for roads channels, not city streets, and the driver must hold the wheel every four minutes to point to the machine that the driver is there.

the individual told that if I had been driving a traditional car, maybe it would able to stop and call an ambulance, but not that he had come to the hospital faster.
