The German engineer Ralph H. Baer, considered the “father” of the game, passed away on December 6 to aged 92, at his home in New Hampshire (USA). Baer built the first “domestic” console that allowed to play on a TV screen in 1968.
Of Jewish origin and fled Nazi Germany in 193 made landfall in the United States. The first game itself was Chase Game , where a player must hunt the other, who died in a collision. His first console was sold in 1971, the Magnavox Odyssey and Ping Pong game.
Baer patented a total of 150 inventions and in 2006 received the National Medal of Technology.
