Apple announces its new music service Apple Music – The Herald (Colombia)

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, announced today the new Apple music service, Apple Music, with which the technology giant of Cupertino (California) seeks to overshadow rivals like Pandora.

Cook made the announcement at the Apple developer conference that started today in San Francisco and in which said that Apple Music will provide access to millions of songs and Internet radio service Beats 1, which will debut later this month.

“It’s a new chapter in the world of music,” Cooks said Apple Music, which jointly developed the technology company with Beats, the music company that Apple acquired last year by 3,000 million dollars.

Apple Music is free for the first three months and will cost ten dollars a month thereafter.

“It is not just algorithms. These are recommendations made by flesh and blood people who love music “said Eddy Cue, head of Internet software and services from Apple.

Apple also today introduced new versions of its operating system for mobile devices and computers and News, a new application that will provide access a personalized informative content for users.

The new mobile version, iOS 9 focuses on improving existing features like Siri, the “personal assistant” Apple, which responds to user questions through voice commands.

The new system for Apple Mac computers named after “Captain” and improves the functioning of the Apple browser, Safari, and the search system.

The free operating system upgrade will be available during the fourth quarter.

The Cupertino company also today introduced software updates on their new Apple smart wristwatch Watch, which seeks help developers build faster applications for the device.

The Apple Watch was the first product that went on sale since Tim Cook took over as CEO of Apple in 2011 and, although not have been reported sales figures, Cook says the response from users has been “one hundred percent positive.”

It is expected that the conference started today attract some 5,000 participants between Monday and Friday the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco (California, USA), the largest in the city and where Google also held its annual meeting last week with developers.
