From now on, when you want to mark a tweet as a favorite on Twitter, now actually be saying ‘Like’ .

The social network of microblogging said on Tuesday one of its biggest changes since the star button that served to mark a tweet as a favorite, now changes to the way a heart to say I like.

Twitter, in the statement, says the change is because the heart symbol can be used to mean many things. “It is a universal symbol that resonates in all languages, cultures and time zones, “says the network.

The heart symbol was beginning to show on other platforms Twitter. Periscope, the app used to make video transmission viv, allows users to use hearts to know that like the transmission.

Twitter, with just 304 million users as of Tuesday show this new button in the mobile application iOS and Android, as well as Twitter.com, TweetDeck, Twitter for Windows 10 and tweets embedded in Web pages. The Android app Vine also receives this change and Vine applications for IOS and Twitter for Mac will take a little longer.

The heart to say I like about Twitter is another social network changes since Jack Dorsey served as CEO for the second time. Dorsey fired 8 percent of its workforce in October –336 people– and executive shaved fences with developers, saying that they have not turned their backs. Also, Twitter has added new features like native surveys and Moments, a section for news in real time.
