The Google algorithm precursor lived 150 years ago – Soy502

George Boole is considered one of the great fathers of computer science; “He invented more than 150 years how to search Google does,” according to a technology published by the BBC.

All search engines are based on principles of logic devised by this mathematical visionary ahead of his time. Boole died in December 1864 without having the faintest idea of what would be Google, and their contributions, which were not recognized in his time, were decisive for this technology giant. Moreover, without algebra system simply would not know modern computing.

Google will honor with this image Boole the search for Monday.

This brilliant mathematician was born on November 2, 1815 , in Lincoln, within a family very humble, his father a great love for mathematics, which also hit his son with a prodigial facility for numbers, and such a keen intelligence, that at age 15 he was fluent in French, German, Italian and Latin, apart from their mother tongue.

Professor Queen College, Cork, Ireland , created the first system of mathematical logic known as Algebra of Logic , later called Boolean algebra , for which he is considered the father of computer science.

The algebra of Boolean is based on a mathematical system in which there are only the ones and zeros. His most important publication was entitled “ Research on the Laws of Thought ” when came to light in 1854, unnoticed, and was rescued seventy years later by Claude Shannon mathematician and engineer.
