Nintendo announced today that its new console will be called Switch and can connect to the tv and also be used as a game device portable.

Switch, which until now was known by the code name of NX, will hit the market in march 2017.

The technological japanese today gave the first details of the machine, the successor of the ill-fated Wii U, in a video posted on his web page.

Switch works as a home console when connected to the tv using a base (or “dock“), but also as a portable device once it is separated from it.

With this hybrid concept, the player can start a game on the tv screen and continuing it on the street with only separate the console from its base.

The machine has a high-definition screen that you can add two controls side, called Joy-With, to function as a portable console.

The screen Switch can also be used as a separate interface, since the Joy-With can be used as remote controls.

The new console in Nintendo it will allow multiplayer, both when connected to the tv as in the portable mode.

In the video published this afternoon, the company shows images of sagas such as “Zelda” and “Super Mario” or “shooter” painting “Splatoon“.

In a statement, Nintendo of america, explained that developers Activision, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Take-Two, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, Sega and Telltale Games, among others, working in games to Switch.

This morning, Nintendo announced that it would for the first time some details of their new console, a project that has been working for several years and seeks to overcome the slump of the Wii U, a machine that was not well received in the market.

The simple announcement caused the shares of the technological japan rose more than 3 %.
