Reason / Black holes can wear a hair gleaming ghostly particles composed of zero energy, according to a new hypothesis proposed by Stephen Hawking and other physicists. The new study, published on January 5 in arXiv, suggests that at least some of the information swallowed by a black hole is stored in these electric hair. However, the new proposal does not prove that all the information that goes into a black hole is preserved. “The big question is whether all the information is stored in this way, and we have not made progress in this regard,” said study author Andrew Strominger, a physicist at Harvard University in Massachusetts. “It seems unlikely that the type of hair you have described is rich enough to store all the information.”
