Twist: Scientists reveal that Earth is composed of two planets – eju.tv

A team of scientists led by Edward Young of the University of California, said that the giant impact hypothesis to explain the origin of the Moon is false. Until now it was believed that a smaller planet, Tea, ‘scratched’ Earth and after impact was launched into orbit this to give rise to the moon.

A study led by Professor Young says Tea crashed to earth with such force that the planets were melted and then broke off a small piece of that collision to form the Moon.

According to scientists, if the first hypothesis were true, the moon would have had a basically equal to that of Tea chemical composition, but this theory has not been proven in the course of an examination of oxygen isotopes in moon rocks.

“We see no difference between isotopes oxygen of the Earth and the Moon; She is indistinguishable, “Young said, quoted by The Guardian. “Tea melted with both the Earth and the Moon, and even scattered among them,” added the professor.

The collision occurred about 100 million years after the initial formation of the Earth, meaning that occurred more than 4,500 million years ago.
