Are hidden galaxies in the Milky Way – Economy and Business online

The Milky Way kept the secret of hundreds of galaxies that were behind her, but finally have been observed using the CSIRO radio telescope in Australia. An international group of scientists has spent looking through the dust and stars in our galaxy, into an uncharted region of space, according to a study published yesterday by the Astronomical Journal.

So have been located and observe galaxies 883, a third of whom had never seen before, according to professor Lister Staveley-Smith of the University of Western Australia who led the study.

despite being only 250 million light years from Earth, a very close distance in astronomical terms, the new galaxies are hidden from view by their situation permanecidas about our own galaxy.

the discovery of these hidden galaxies can help explain the region of the great Attractor, a large concentration of galaxies, which has a gravitational force equivalent to a billion suns.
