Now the private messages will no longer have the 140-character limit applied to the ‘tweets’.
“Though Twitter is primarily a public experience, direct messages can have private conversations about memes, news, movements and events that arise in Twitter,” said product manager Sachin Agarwal on a message on the company blog.
“This change is another big step back even more powerful and fun private part of Twitter,” he added.
By far the changes users who use mobile devices with Android or iOS operating systems, they access the site from a computer or application TweetDeck apply, but Agarwal said the change ” will continue expanding worldwide in the coming weeks. ”
The 140-character limit still applies to those who send tweets from SMS.
The decision was announced when the company based in California finds a very slow growth of its user base, compared to other social networks, looking for a new CEO.
