Facebook launches LifeStage, social network for under 21 – Digital Journal Juárez

Mexico City Facebook wants regresarles teens a bit of ground they have lost in Facebook now that even their grandparents have a profile on the network. So I think the app lifestage, exclusively for children under 21 years.

Facebook is to go back a little to the original purpose of the network, which was to connect people from the same community, but this time the app for iOS is focused on videos (not supported by photographs) and stickers.

instead of writing about what you like and what not, your profile shows a video with others can meet you.

Anything else, you can not talk through the app. For that there are already many applications, says its creator, Michael Sayman, only 19 years old and who started working on Facebook after reaching recognition for creating the game Club Penguin.

The new network is aimed at young school, in fact, when you sign up you can select your school and then you can see videos of people from the same school or similar. There is only one condition: to see the profiles of your peers must register at least 20 and so the app will allow you to see more profiles

Sayman, who learned to program at age 13, he said. in a post on Facebook that lifeStage is the opportunity to explore the concept of ‘who am I?’ again but this time with the Z generation.

for now lifeStage is only available in the United States and iOS.
