The Apple Watch 2 has a larger battery to give life to GPS: report – CNET in Spanish

The Apple Watch 2 will have a longer battery capacity compared to the current model, according to information collected by the site 9to5Mac.

The new battery, at least in the case of Apple Watch 42mm would be 1.28 Wh-334mAh, the report said. This corresponds to an increase of 35 percent compared with the current Apple Watch has wH battery-246mAh 0.94.

In its report, 9to5Mac says should be taken with caution this information. While it is expected that the Apple Watch 2 has among its new GPS and battery biggest help GPS to work without consuming much energy, it is also believed that the new device will have the same size and dimensions as the current clock.

If the watch stays the same size, it is unlikely that Apple can put a larger battery, it should withdraw to accommodate components within the device. The presence of a GPS is important for the clock, if Apple wants to make it more independent from the iPhone.

Apple has not confirmed anything about a second generation of Apple Watch, but the Cupertino company has already confirmed an event for September 7 to announce there the iPhone 7. If Apple intends to launch the Apple Watch 2 that day is a good time.

CNET in Spanish will be at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California, to bring you all the details. Do not takeoffs site.
