Oculus is becoming more allies to competiren the technology race of the moment: virtual reality. Through a statement on its official blog, the developers of Oculus VR headset announced the acquisition of Surreal Vision, a company dedicated to the reconstruction of 3D scenes.
“The scene reconstruction will allow for a new level of presence, allowing you to move through the real world and interact with real objects from the Oculus VR. “reads the statement of the development team.
The aim of this partnership is to improve techniques to capture, interpret, manage, analyze and reproject real-time 3D models genuine feel for users, which will create an interesting mix between the physical and virtual world.
As we already reported Oculus will have its own press conference before E3 2015. The new features of virtual reality headset, among other important announcements, will be presented on June 11 in San Francisco, California.
