App store Apple TV receives 200 apps every week: study – CNET in Spanish

The new app store Apple TV continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

The AppFigures analysis platform applications this week released an analysis of the App Store for the box of streaming video, concluding that, on average, the app store grows by 200 new applications every week.

AppFigures also says that the store already has about 2,600 applications, a remarkable figure considering it is a relatively young platform. The App Store was available with the Apple TV in late October.

This figure was seconded by Eddy Cue, vice president of software and services online at Apple, in an interview with BuzzFeed News, saying that the store already has “more than 2,000″ apps and confirmed the success of the category of gaming.

Cue also said that Apple itself is surprised by the growth of the category of games on the Apple TV, since the phenomenon is similar to what happened with the iPhone in its infancy and mentioned that Apple TV is for Gamers casual. “I think a large majority of people around the world do not want to buy an Xbox or PlayStation.
