Facebook confirms Live, live broadcasting service – The Express

With this application, users can tune, post comments and watch in real time to all those who have given like your page

As mentioned previously, Facebook wants to compete with applications like Periscope; therefore, representatives of the social network confirmed that the live broadcasting service will be available soon for journalists and verified profiles.

On August 5 Facebook launched Live, an application that allows transmitting a live video directly to the social network. With this application, users can tune, post comments and watch in real time to all those who have given like your page.

After the transmission, the video is saved as any in the Timeline so you can look back anytime. This contrasts with Periscope, where videos can only be played during the next 24 hours

When Live was launched, only a very limited number of celebrities with pages verified number had access, including:. Dwayne “The Rock “Johnson, Serena Williams, Martha Stewart and Michael Bublé.

Some used the service for a session of questions and answers, and a few other things announced only occupied it for fun.

Facebook plans to offer this service not only livestreaming personalities; However, users who do not have a verified site may not yet enjoy the application.
