Amazon.com Inc. is about to expand to a global level in his service of streaming video, sources say, a decision that points directly to your opponent Netflix Inc.

The giant of electronic commerce will expand probably its video service to approximately 200 countries, the sources said. Amazon Prime Video is currently available only in the united States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, and Japan, and soon India.

The first hints about the plans of Amazon, leaked on Wednesday when the Jeremy Clarkson the star of the next program of Amazon The Grand Tour, said in tweets that the viewers in 200 countries, they could see the comedy starting in December. The show will premiere on November 18.

"Amazon went global," tweeted Clarkson. "It’s going to be available in 200 territories. That is pretty much everywhere."

In a YouTube video published Wednesday in which it appears Clarkson and his two co-stars Richard Hammond and James May the stars read the letter of a client tormented by complaining that I could not see The Grand Tour because Amazon Prime was not available in your country. The stars then opened a package from Amazon to find a letter saying that "in December, we are going to launch the show globally in more than 200 countries around the world."

An Amazon web site for the program notes that will appear exclusively on Amazon. That could mean that the company will expand its video service to countries where their ship program membership Prime is not available.

A global expansion of the video service of Amazon would introduce a formidable competitor to Netflix around the world.
