Nokia will return to the smartphone market in 2017 – unocero

It has been confirmed that next year we will see smartphones from Nokia in the market.

The not-so-surprising news come from the company itself Finnish, through a slide presented at its conference focused on the investors in the event Capital Markets Day. In it, the company confirms its return to the world of smart phones.

But this will happen only as a form of branding, because Nokia as a company in reality will not have a phone as such, since that will only act as the owner of the trademark and the patent, and will oversee the manufacture of the device.

The company that is responsible for the production of the phones will be HMD, a new entity that was created some months ago and which will join the the trademark, patents and supervision of Nokia, along with the teams of research, development and manufacturing of Foxconn.

HMD has an exclusive contract for ten years for the use of the brand Nokia in mobile phones and will be allocated a minimum of $ 500 million on marketing during the first three years in which will sell these phones.

according To reports, the past, the new smartphones with Android Nokia would be launched during the second quarter of next year. That means they could be revealed during the Mobile World Congress in February.

however, other rumors say that the phones would be announced before the end of 2016, so for now it remains only for us to wait to see what happens, but what yes it will be a fact is that 2017 will be the year of the triumphant return of Nokia to the cell.
