The Galaxy S8 will have technology similar to 3D Touch on the iPhone: report – CNET in Spanish

The cell phone Galaxy S8 Samsung will include the technology of pressure on the screen better known as Force Touch, according to sources of The Investor.

This technology, used by other manufacturers such as Huawei or Apple, allow you to exert different amount of pressure on the screen and perform various tasks, depending on the pressure. This technology was made popular in 2015.

According to the sources of the site a Korean, the Galaxy S8 will be the start of this technology in phones from Samsung. However, the technology will not be fully deployed in the S8, so the total integration will appear in one or two years.

The Investor says that 3D Touch will come also to other phones Samsung flagship, perhaps referring to the Galaxy Note 8, a phone that Samsung confirmed its existence.

Currently, Google offers a feature similar to Force Touch on Android 7.0 Nougat, but without the need of sensitivity on the screen. This feature of Android to display a menu on icons of enabled apps on the home screen.

The report Korean ends by saying that an executive from Samsung confirmed the presence of this technology on the screen of the Galaxy S8, although wanted to remain anonymous because the plans related to the Galaxy S8 are private.

According to the latest reports, Samsung has big plans for the Galaxy S8. In addition to this so-called 3D Touch, the display will have 4K resolution, rear camera-dual and it will remove almost any bezel on the front, in addition to that the front button will no longer be present. Also, the Galaxy S8 would have a virtual assistant developed by Samsung.

The Galaxy S8 would be announced in April and not in February as Samsung’s customary, according to several reports.
